The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 250 employees, including about 30 expatriates of 10 nationalities and includes 5 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, vaccinations and water and food analyses) and training. We are looking for a full-time Research Funding Assistant to join the Grants Office at Institut Pasteur Cambodia. This role involves providing support to IPC researchers throughout the grant proposal preparation process and project management. It includes managing information for the onboarding process, scouting, and raising awareness about funding programs, handling proposal applications, and supporting project implementation and monitoring. This role also involves coordination and communication among internal and external stakeholders. * Main responsibilities: Operation and organization of the service - Handling data entry and organization of the Grants Office databases for Funding Programs and Projects - Identifying and disseminating funding opportunities, managing related communication and awareness supports - Managing the grant office workflow, including maintenance of related datasets and templates consolidation. - Assisting IPC researchers and the grants office manager in preparing competitive applications for research and innovation projects (administrative support, budgeting, grant proposal documentation

Job Requirements

- Full time with one-year Fixed duration contract (renewable and/or modifiable in anunlimited duration contract) - Available to start: August 1 st , 2024 • Candidate Profile: - Professional experience - Experience of 1-2 years in relevant areas with: (Desirable but not required) - Knowledge of public and private research funding systems - Experience in managing applications and projects within competitive research funding programs. Knowledge of IPR concepts for collaborative research contracts management. - Experience in a life science environment, IT or finance backgrounds will be a plus. -E ducation and training - At least Bachelor's degree. Master's degree, or PhD will be appreciated. * Required skills - Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, and collaborative tools - Familiarity with other relevant project and data management tools would be advantageous. - Initiative: Proactive and results-oriented. - Accuracy: Attention to detail and focus on precision. - Communication: Ability to interact effectively with a diverse audience, both verbally and in writing. - Planning & Prioritization: Ability to meet tight deadlines. - Teamwork: Capable of working independently while also being a team player with facilitating behavior - Languages: Proficiency in English. Khmer and French will be a plus.
