Job Description

As Design Engineer your role is to draft or review construction models based on project needs and to create drawings that are used for final construction plans. Prepare reports designs and drawings. Make calculations about pressures loads and stresses. Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately. Provide technical documentation including CAD drawing (proposal and approval) cost data design calculations bills of materials technical specifications test data etc. Obtain planning and or building regulations approval. Developing and producing 2D drawing and modelling 3D from concept to construction drawing. Adjust current drawings and recommend changes based on their understanding and knowledge of the project. Liaise with professional staff such as architects and engineers. Review shop drawing erection drawing material planning and submission to customer Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness. Participates in design meetings and suggests improvement of design engineering practices

Job Requirements

Bachelor degree in civil structural engineering or equivalent 2-3 years of work experience as a Structural Engineer Expert experience in project management. Advanced knowledge of construction methods materials design code structural analysis by theories and practices and legal regulations. Sound understanding of physics and mathematics. Structural analysis computer programs (Robot Structural Analysis Professional SAP2000 ETABS CSI family Microsoft Office Project (Optional) Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Meticulous attention to detail with the superb organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication
